Done With Dora

I apologize for the lack of posts. I’ve been sick with a cough I just can’t seem to kick and making these…

…and dealing with things like unexpected haircuts. And while I cannot overstate how much Katrina LOVES Dora I, myself, find her rather uninspiring and, for me, uninspiring translates into slow progress. But seeing as her birthday is just a few weeks away I had to get the invitations made — the party might be Dora-themed but I was making the invitations gosh-darnit — and sent. Otherwise, I would be explaining to a three year old why no one but her brother came to her party.

In more exciting (or at least crafty) news, these wool rovings arrived today in the mail. My mailbox was literally filled with the rovingpackage. The roving was hand-dyed by Heather and both colorways are gorgeous. I am planning to use it to make some felted beads and eggs with Katrina who loves to knit but never seems to make anything but a big mess. This way we can make a big mess but actually get an end-result too. Anyway, I told myself I couldn’t play with the roving until the invitations were completed so if you’ll excuse me…
