Father’s Day

Father's Day Book

Happy Father’s Day to all those Daddys out there in the blogosphere. Katie, Tristan, and I made Papa Urchin a little book with photos of them in it. I did a photo shoot for each child — I wanted to get a bunch of similar pictures of each of them — and selected seven photos each. Then Katie drew a picture of Daddy which I scanned and scaled down to an appropriate size. I inked up an appendage on each kid and got a hand/foot print. Then I just cropped everything down, mounted it on colored paper — pink for Katie, blue for Tristan — and mounted to the book. Then I stamped the last page as well as the envelope and made two little shrinky dinks, a dragonfly and a ladybug to use to tie on the front. Voila! A Father’s Day gift for one of the best Daddys in the world.

Oh my goodness, this is just beautiful! The drawing and the hand and foot prints are perfect. A great way to freeze a little moment in time. What a wonderful gift for dad.
