Three Cheers for the Sweater

Sweater for N

Modeling girl’s clothes again. This time the pom-pom sweater is for N whose mommy and I decided to do a little swap. Katrina is in love with the make-along over at Wee Wonderfuls and has been begging for an Olive and Archie of her own. By my estimation you really have to get the dolls right for the whole making along to work since many of the additional patterns are items for the dolls — like clothes, etc. So, fully realizing my limits I knew I couldn’t make them for her.

It turns out Alicia was very fond of the sweater I made Katrina for Christmas — which as it turns out Katrina is not too fond of, hrmph — so I suggested we make a trade. Don’t you love the web? You can see Alicia‘s photo of what she sent here. This is the photo that Katrina took, not quite as good…

The sweater is wonderful – I used the popcorn for the trim on stockings over Christmas, so I know it is wild stuff – but this is just amazing. It really suits the pattern, with the collar, the chunky garter trim, and the three big buttons. Pleasing to no end! What a lucky girl and swap partner – Brava!
