Corner of My Home

First, let me say, Wow and thank you for all the bloggy birthday wishes. You guys are the best and I just wish I could have a real life party and invite you all. Second, let me say, Wow because I posted everyday in February. Every. Day. And now I’m kind of used to the groove of it so I think you’ll still be hearing from me almost daily although I’m sure there will be lulls now and again. So now, onto this weeks corner…

Library

On the floor plan for our house this room is called the study but my mom and I prefer the name, library. It sounds rather grand but that is more what this room is, a library, a place for our beloved books. You’ve seen this room before but this is the rest of it. The shelves are billy bookcases from IKEA. We added trim to give it the custom built in look. If you’re interested in knowing more about the art click through to flickr to read the notes on the photo.

And since we’re talking books I figured I’d jump in on a meme via my cyber-pal Leah. Here are the rules:

In the list of books below, bold the ones you’ve read, italicize the ones you want to read, cross out the ones you won’t touch with a ten-foot pole, put a cross (+) in front of the ones on your book shelf (I’ve taken this to mean, on the shelf, out on loan., or in a box in the garage, and asterisk (*) the ones you’ve never heard of.

I love your library! It is a goal in my life to someday have one myself. I am in the sad state of actually giving away books, because I have no room for them. Thanks for the meme. Looks like a really good one! And I hope your birthday was great.
