I Hope No One Asks Me About My Christmas Vacation

because I don’t have much nice to say. Okay, that’s a bit melodramatic but we were all sick pretty much the whole time and I just need to get it off my chest that it was very disappointing. We didn’t participate in almost all of our traditional Christmas activities and it really bummed me out. Don’t get me wrong, I am still very appreciative of our overall good health and well being but I really missed our traditional Christmas.

Baby Dress - Close Up

But what’s done is done and it’s a new year with new promise so let’s focus on something happier, like this sweet dress. I’m always jealous when Anina gets to be a pattern tester for Kathy because it seems like so much fun. It turns out I was right. I got to pattern test this dress for Liesl who has started her own pattern company — oliver + s — with the first line available this Spring. The print is Alexander Henry, I think, that I got from Sandi. The pattern was size 3-6 months and since we don’t have any baby girls — or any babies for that matter — around this is going into the gift stash because like Melissa I think having a stash of premade, handmade gifts is a great idea.

Baby Dress

Happy New Year everyone, I just need to get a few more photos before I can round-up the 2007 projects but I better do it quick since I already have something finished in 2008 to show you.

I’m so sorry your Christmas was miserable. Just think how much more you’re going to appreciate it this year.
The little dress is so cute! I love the little pants. And I’m definitely going to start a gift stash too. Maybe the Christmas rush won’t be as bad then.

I read regularly, but this is my first comment.

Love the dress! So cute. My last 2 babies have been boys, and I just love the little girlie stuff.

Sorry you were sick over the holidays. We usually are in some fashion, but escaped this year somehow. Last year it was pneumonia. Hope you feel better soon.

I hear you about being sick! You have a very pragmatic attitude though. I love this little dress (that hanger is perfect!) and I can’t wait to see a FO already. You’re on fire!
